Hanover Parks & Recreation and the Office of Family & Community Engagement
\nare pleased to collaborate to offer ski and snowboarding lessons at the
\nBlue Hills Ski Area.<\/p>\n
When: Tuesdays 1\/2, 1\/9, 1\/16, 1\/23 & 1\/30, 4:30 p.m. \u2013 5:45 p.m.
\n(Please note, lessons on 1\/2 will run until 6:15 p.m. to allow extra time
\nfor testing and sizing)
\nAdditional weeks will be added if there are cancellations due to adverse
\nweather conditions. Families\/Students will be notified of any lesson
\ncancellations by both an email and phone call. Please be advised, Blue
\nHills strives to create optimal conditions. However, the weather can impact
\ntheir ability to do so. <\/p>\n
All registrations are final as of 12\/22\/17. This date is set by Blue Hills
\nSki Area to allow them to staff appropriately. Refunds will not be issued
\nafter this date except for medical reasons as documented by a doctor’s
\nnote.<\/p>\n
Time: Buses will depart Hanover Middle School at 2:45 p.m. sharp, Cedar
\nSchool at 3:00 p.m. sharp, Hanover High School at 3:10 p.m. sharp and
\nCenter School at 3:20 p.m. sharp. We will depart Blue Hills at
\napproximately 6:00 p.m. and will return to Hanover Middle School for pick
\nup at approximately 7:00 p.m. A text alert will be sent to all families
\nthrough the Team App when departing Blue Hills Ski Area. All students must
\nbe picked up at Hanover Middle School by a parent\/guardian or other
\nauthorized designee.<\/p>\n
Ages: 7-15 years of age<\/p>\n
Cost:
\n$325 – Ski\/Snowboard lesson (No Equipment rental)*
\n$400 – Ski\/Snowboard lesson with Rental
\n$30 – Helmet rental
\n*Please ensure equipment fits prior to the start of lessons if not renting
\nfrom Blue Hills.<\/p>\n
Please visit http:\/\/hanoverschools.org\/face\/enrichment\/ to register. All
\nregistrations must be received by December 18, 2017. We must have a 35
\nparticipant minimum to offer the program.<\/p>\n
Students will be picked up at their respective schools unless previously
\narranged with staff. Students may bring equipment to school on the day of
\ntheir lesson to be safely stored for the day.<\/p>\n
Helmets are required. Each participant will wear a Blue Hills Ski Pass
\nduring lessons as well as a pinnie to identify him\/her as part of the
\nHanover program. Hanover Parks and Recreation and the Office of Family &
\nCommunity Engagement are not responsible for lost or damaged cell phones or
\nother personal property.<\/p>\n
All students in grades 6th \u2013 9th must meet the head injury prerequisites
\nfor student participation as set forth by the Hanover School Committee
\nincluding a current physical examination and a Baseline ImPACT Test.<\/p>\n
