The Hanover Garden Club is sponsoring an antiques appraisal event on
\nSaturday, April 7, from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m., at Riley Hall, Route 139, in
\nHanover Center. Peter Smith, National Certified Appraiser and local radio
\ntalk show host, along with Henry T. Callan, Margos Shirinian, and many
\nother members of a \u201cDream Team\u201d of appraisers will be on hand to
\nprovide verbal appraisals of antiques, memorabilia, family heirlooms,
\nkeepsakes, and other objects of interest.<\/p>\n
Have you ever wondered if you have genuine treasures among your family
\nheirlooms? Is Grandpa Harvey\u2019s old mandolin valuable? Could Great Aunt
\nEdna\u2019s looking glass be as priceless as your mother always suggested?
\nHow about third cousin Calvin\u2019s cricket bat that he left you? Maybe
\nyou\u2019re wondering if that corner chair you bought at a rummage sale is a
\nrare find. Is it unique or run-of-the-mill? Here\u2019s your chance to find
\nthe answers.<\/p>\n
The fee will be $10.00 per item appraised, with proceeds benefiting the
\ncivic and educational projects of the Hanover Garden Club. Club members
\nwill be selling $10 appraisal tickets at Hanover\u2019s John Curtis Library on
\nWednesday mornings 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon, and at the Hanover Senior Center,
\n655 Center Street on Thursdays from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. For more information

This antiques appraisal event promises to be an afternoon of surprising
\ndiscovery, and, perhaps, good fortune! All are welcome to come, bring
\nthose treasured items, and find out if they have more than sentimental
\nvalue.<\/p>\n
