Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I have been both humbled and overwhelmed by the attention I
\nhave received over the past couple of weeks or so since the announcement that I
\nam the 2009 Spirit of Hanover Community Service Award recipient.  Those of
\nyou who know me well will know that I am far more comfortable being a part of a
\nteam, or as someone’s campaign manager, or as a vice-chair of a
\ncommittee.  In my role as editor for “Around Town on the Web”,
\nI can hide behind my computer and let my written words speak for me.  To
\nhave this much consideration bestowed upon me makes me feel like my flower
\nbulbs must have felt for the last few months…completely snowed
\nunder.  J<\/span>   <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Please accept this e-blast as a small measure of my
\nthanks.  I could not let another day go by without at least acknowledging
\nthe scores of well-wishers among you.  I am further grateful to those who
\nnominated me – or signed letters of support – on my
\nnomination’s behalf.  Your tributes are amazing to me.<\/p>\n

You will continue to hear from me and “Around Town on
\nthe Web” as I highlight the framework and the fabric of what makes our
\ncommunity so grand.  I like to think of myself as a cog in the wheel, and
\nso deeply appreciate those of you who are also a part of this greatness. 
\nIf I have done nothing else with “ATOTW”, I hope I continue to
\ninspire you to the call to service for our little town.<\/p>\n
