The Town of Hanover released the following statement regarding political
\nsigns today:<\/p>\n
“The Town of Hanover\u2019s Sign Bylaw states that political signs (not more
\nthan one per candidate per lot) are permitted for a period of three weeks
\nbefore any election to three days after. This local law was enacted in
\n1974. This means that for the upcoming election on November 6th, political
\nsigns should not be installed until October 16th. We believe that
\neducation is the best form of enforcement. The Department of Community
\nDevelopment and Municipal Inspections and the Town Clerk\u2019s Office
\ncordially ask everyone in town to voluntarily follow these rules.”<\/p>\n
