Cardinal Cushing Centers is proud to be chosen as a host site for the 2019
\nFuture Celtics Program. <\/p>\n
Beginning in January, the Future Celtics Program is a six-week program for
\nchildren with intellectual disabilities enrolled in grades three to five.
\nThe program is designed to help participants develop their basketball game
\nthrough skills, drills and leadership training. The skills and drills are
\nall designed by coaches of the Boston Celtics and help challenge
\nparticipants in measurable ways over the course of four weeks. After
\nattending one of the Future Celtics clinics where they learn directly from
\nCeltics players, participants continue to improve their skills at their
\nhome gym. The players track their skills on official Jr. Celtics Score
\nSheets and data is reported back to the Celtics. They are challenged
\nthrough these clinics to improve their skills for a chance to come to a
\nCeltics Basketball Game as a Future Celtics All-Star.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Boston Celtics,\u201d
\nsaid Cushing\u2019s Vice President of Development, Jansi Chandler. \u201cWe
\nappreciate all the Boston Celtics and TD Bank have done for us, from
\nrenovating our Recreation Center to including us in this wonderful
\nprogram.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Cardinal Cushing Centers Future Celtics program will be held on
\nSaturday mornings from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. in their school gym, located
\nat 405 Washington Street in Hanover. For more information or to sign up,

Cardinal Cushing Centers, Inc. is in the business of changing lives. A
\nnon-profit organization founded in Hanover, MA in 1947, Cushing Centers
\nbegan as a day and residential school for students with intellectual
\ndisabilities. With additional locations in Braintree, Cushing now supports
\nover 600 individuals of all ages, with the goal of helping each student and
\nadult to become included and independent members of society. Programs
\ninclude, among others, affordable housing, community programs, education,
\nemployment training, recreational, therapeutic, and residential services.<\/p>\n
