Refreshments and book raffle, book<br \/>\nsignings with the author.<\/p>\n<p>Opening night on Thursday, March 14th features author Kate Clifford Larson<br \/>\nwho will talk about the gripping story of how Rose and Joe Kennedy gave<br \/>\nRosemary loving care and how it turned into a desperate and duplicitous<br \/>\narrangement. The lobotomy of their twenty-three year old daughter was a<br \/>\nsecret fiercely guarded by her powerful and glamorous family. <\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, March 21th, Television Producer\/Author, Ted Reinstein, best<br \/>\nknown as a longtime correspondent for WCVB Channel 5\u2019s \u201cChronicle\u201d,<br \/>\nwill highlight New England\u2019s General Stores: Exploring An American<br \/>\nClassic. He takes us through the fabric of America over hot coffee and<br \/>\npenny candy and steps back in time into a Norman Rockwell painting that<br \/>\noffers a nostalgic picture of this colonial staple , while taking us<br \/>\nthrough small towns from Connecticut to Maine. <\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, March 28th, John F. Gallagher, author of &#8220;Arsenic in<br \/>\nAssinippi&#8221; will be here to discuss and present a slideshow of this<br \/>\nnonfictional account of the 1913 murder of U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Joseph<br \/>\nGiles in Assinippi, Massachusetts. You will hear the details of the trial<br \/>\nand the tragic aftermath, which captivated people across the country for<br \/>\neight months. <\/p>\n<p>HISTORY NIGHT at the Hanover Council on Aging<br \/>\n \u201cHistory Matters: Building History Through Community,\u201d 6:30 \u2013 8:00<br \/>\np.m. on Wednesday, March 6th with Stephen Puleo, author of American<br \/>\nTreasure: The Secret Efforts to Save the Declaration of Independence, the<br \/>\nConstitution, and the Gettysburg Address. Puleo will show how the ideas<br \/>\ncaptured in historical documents embody fundamental liberty and equality.<br \/>\nHear about the smuggled papers during WWII. Move and stretch to music. No prior dance experience<br \/>\nnecessary.
