Late fees begin this Monday,<br \/>\nApril 1st!<\/p>\n<p>Hanover Town Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier reminded residents that 2019<br \/>\nTown of Hanover dog licenses are still available on-line, by mail, or in<br \/>\nthe Hanover Town Clerk\u2019s Office.  The licensing period is January 1, 2019<br \/>\n\u2013 March 31, 2019, and a $10 late fee applies beginning April 1, 2019.<br \/>\nAll dogs over the age of 6 months are required by law to be licensed.  The<br \/>\nlicense is good for one year, and costs $10 for spayed or neutered dogs,<br \/>\nand $15 for intact dogs.  Residents over the age of 70 will be given a free<br \/>\nlicense for their vaccinated dog upon proof of the owner\u2019s age. <\/p>\n<p>In an effort to make this process easy for residents, there are several<br \/>\nways to license your dog:<br \/>\n\u2022\tThe easiest way is on-line via a link on the Town Clerk\u2019s section of<br \/>\nthe Town of Hanover\u2019s website, which is also here:<br \/>\nhttps:\/\/townforms.com\/TownForms\/public\/Login\/BusinessUserLogin.aspx?ch=FB41A7C6E5AFCA94A2F2D9044860C90E&#038;rtn=%2fpublic%2fforms%2fformViewer.aspx%3fch%3dFB41A7C6E5AFCA94A2F2D9044860C90E%26fn%3dSHDogLicense<br \/>\n.  If your dog is currently registered in Hanover, you will just need<br \/>\nhis\/her current tag number to find your on-line record.  Set up an account<br \/>\nand pay on-line without leaving the comfort of your home!  Almost one-third<br \/>\nof Hanover residents now license their dogs on-line \u2013 try it out!<br \/>\n\u2022\tResidents may also fill out the dog license application that is found<br \/>\non the Town Clerk\u2019s section of the Town of Hanover\u2019s website at:<br \/>\nhttps:\/\/www.hanover-ma.gov\/sites\/hanoverma\/files\/uploads\/hanover_dog_license_application_revised_with_on-line_payment_info.pdf<br \/>\n.  This is the same application that was included in the census this year.<br \/>\nCompleted forms may be mailed in with your payment, proof of current rabies<br \/>\nvaccination and proof of spaying or neutering (if you have not submitted<br \/>\nthat information previously) to: Town Clerk\u2019s Office, 550 Hanover Street,<br \/>\nHanover, MA  02339, and your tag will be mailed back to you.<br \/>\n\u2022\tAs has always been the case, dog licenses may also be obtained in<br \/>\nperson at the Town Clerk\u2019s Office during normal business hours.  Please<br \/>\nbring the same paperwork \u2013 current rabies vaccination, proof of<br \/>\nspaying\/neutering if you have not submitted that information previously,<br \/>\nand your cash or check payable to the Town of Hanover.  PLEASE REMEMBER<br \/>\nTHAT WE CLOSE AT 8:00 P.M. ON WEDNESDAYS, 4:00 P.M. ON MONDAYS, TUESDAYS,<br \/>\nAND THURSDAYS, AND 12 NOON ON FRIDAYS!<\/p>\n<p>Unlicensed dogs are subject to a minimum of a $25 fine, with an additional<br \/>\n$25 fine if unleashed and another fine of $50 if unvaccinated for rabies.<br \/>\nDon\u2019t delay; get your dog\u2019s license today!
