\nOn Thursday, April 4, Remember the \u201cBig Dig.\u201dArchaeologist, Joseph
\nBagley, author of A History of Boston in 50 Artifacts tells the story about
\nthe Big Dig and what we retrieved from it. History is right under our feet;
\nwe just need to dig a little to find it. Boston\u2019s Big Dig has contributed
\nmore to our understanding of our state\u2019s capital than any other recent
\nevent. The author uncovers a fascinating hodgepodge of \u201cstuff\u201d from
\nancient fishing grounds to Jazz Age red-light districts that will surprise
\neveryone. Slideshow by the author.
\nOn Thursday, April 25, Andre Dubus III will talk about his most recent book
\nin ten years, Gone So Long. Few writers can evoke the lives of their
\ncharacters as viscerally as Andre Dubus III. In this compelling novel, a
\nfather estranged for the worst of reasons is driven to seek out the
\ndaughter he has not seen in decades. Andre also authored The House of Sand
\nand Fog.<\/p>\n
