Hanover Parks and Recreation presents: Free Sunday Concert Series at the
\nPavilion at Forge Pond Park!
\nEvery other Sunday, June 30th – September 8th
\n5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
Please bring a chair and blanket and join Park and Rec for an evening of
\nfamily, friends and great entertainment at Forge Pond Park (253 King
\nStreet). Extreme Tailgators Barbeque (6\/30,7\/14 and 9\/8), South Shore Taco
\nGuy (7\/28) and Mom on the Go Food Truck and Restaurant (8\/11 and 8\/25) will
\nbe there with dinner, snacks and drinks to purchase! NEW this year
\nBurke\u2019s Alewerks will be selling beer at each concert!<\/p>\n
June 30th – The 781 Band
\nThe 781 Band plays your favorite top 40 hits from the last 30 years! Pop,
\nRock, Country and anything else that gets you moving! The band consists of
\nRob Short (lead vocals), Drew Contois (lead guitar and vocals), Ryan Calter
\n(rhythm guitar and vocals), Todd Laporte (bass) and John Iacadoro (drums).<\/p>\n
July 14th – The New City Cowboys
\nThe New City Cowboys are a group of country music lovin’ lifelong friends
\nbased, of all places, just south of Boston. They\u2019ve been performing for
\nyears as The Armstrong Brothers Band to popular acclaim throughout the
\nSouth Shore since the 1980\u2019s. But they love the new music coming out of
\nNashville so much that five years ago they formed their new band, The New
\nCity Cowboys, to bring the \u201cnew Nashville sound\u201d to the Boston area.
\nTheir goal is to make sure that you have as good a time listening to their
\nfavorite country music as they do performing it for you!
\nThe New City Cowboys are: Jim and Joe Armstrong, Bill Holbrook, as well as
\noccasional visiting musicians and longtime \u2018friends of the band\u201d,
\nperforming the country music we love from the likes of Kenny Chesney, Jason
\nAldean, Eric Church, and others.<\/p>\n
July 28th – 5:00 p.m. Paul Doolittle and Erin Thornton, and 6:00 p.m. John
\nDoney
\nPaul Doolittle and Erin Thornton are an acoustic duo playing classic songs
\nfrom all decades of the modern era of American popular music.
\nJohn Doney is a singer-songwriter with Western MA roots who has settled
\ndown in the South Shore. His music has been influenced by folk, rock,
\nblues and country. He pulls from the likes of the Beatles and Paul Simon,
\nwith a nod towards rock n’ roll’s country and blues foundation. He has
\nbeen writing and performing music across the state for the past 10 years.<\/p>\n
August 11th – Rick Barron and The Quavers
\nTheir music is described as original country Americana, oldies and
\nrock-n-roll. Rick has won awards for his songwriting for Billboard and
\nM.C.M.A.A. in Massachusetts and performed his songs in Nashville at the
\nfamous Bluebird Cafe, Charlie Daniels’ Talent Show and many other venues in
\nthe South Shore and beyond! Rick has been headlined as a “Brookline cop
\nwho is a real country crooner\u201d. The band performs regularly Mr.
\nDooley\u2019s Irish Village Pub.<\/p>\n
August 25th – Divas with a Twist
\nDivas with a Twist is a unique musical group that performs all different
\ngenres of music, and they are based out of Boston. With five powerhouse
\nfemale vocalists, backed by Grammy nominated musicians, Divas with a Twist
\nis sure to captivate any audience. The musicians and vocalists bring
\noriginality and a high powered sound, creating and delivering unique and
\nhighly entertaining performances every time! You’ll hear songs by Queen,
\nThe Who, Gloria Estefan, The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson,
\nMaroon Five, Lady Gaga, Adele and MORE!<\/p>\n
September 8th – North Sea Gas
\nHave a “Gas”! “North Sea Gas” that is! One of Scotland’s most popular and
\nenduring bands, “North Sea Gas” formed over 39 years ago and is still
\ncontinually traveling the world bringing their brand of Scottish
\ntraditional, contemporary and self-penned music to the people. This highly
\nentertaining Scottish folk trio offers high energy instrumentals, history,
\ngreat craic, and tremendous three part harmonies giving the “Gas” show
\nuniversal appeal. <\/p>\n
