Performances will be the second Wednesday of the<br \/>\nmonth, October through April, starting October 9.  The series is<br \/>\nunderwritten by Diane and Gary Glick, and all performances are free.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very excited to offer our Coffee Break Concert Series at<br \/>\nLaura\u2019s Center for the Arts in Hanover, as part of a new partnership with<br \/>\nthe South Shore YMCA.  The Laura\u2019s Center space is perfect for this<br \/>\nevent\u2019s combination of performance and socialization,\u201d says Beth<br \/>\nMacLeod Largent, SSC Director of Performance. \u201cOur Duxbury CBCS<br \/>\nperformances are often standing room only.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Starting with &#8220;Music from the Movies&#8221; on October 9, all CBCS performances<br \/>\nhave an education component, as faculty members share the background behind<br \/>\ntheir selections to help the audience understand a piece more deeply.<br \/>\nCasual in nature with a &#8220;come as you are&#8221; intimate atmosphere, these free<br \/>\n11:00 a.m. performances include complimentary coffee, tea, water, light<br \/>\nsnacks and fruit to enjoy during the concert. <\/p>\n<p>Music from the Movies, which features SSC educator\/performers Holly<br \/>\nJennings, voice; Sarah Troxler, piano; and Jesse Stiglich, percussion,<br \/>\nshowcases beloved favorites such as I Could Have Danced All Night, Ten<br \/>\nMinutes Ago, When I Marry Mr. Snow, and If I Were a Bell.<\/p>\n<p>Most Coffee Break Concert Series performances, which, until now, had been<br \/>\noffered only at SSC\u2019s Duxbury campus, have been standing room only.<br \/>\nAudience members are therefore encouraged to arrive at 10:30 a.m. for the<br \/>\n11:00 a.m. concert. Performances are one hour in length without<br \/>\nintermission.  After the performance, audience members are invited to stay,<br \/>\nmeet the performers and enjoy complimentary coffee, tea and breakfast<br \/>\ntreats.  If they prefer, concertgoers may bring their own bag lunch. <\/p>\n<p>Other CBCS performances at Laura\u2019s Center for the Arts include Jazz on<br \/>\nNovember 13, Holiday Favorites on December 11, Music of the Beatles on<br \/>\nFebruary 12, Music of Franz Schubert on March 11, and Piano Four Hands on<br \/>\nApril 8.<\/p>\n<p>South Shore Conservatory is committed to being an organization that<br \/>\nwelcomes the widest range of audience members possible &#8211; removing barriers<br \/>\nto participation and welcoming everyone in, regardless of ability.<br \/>\nLaura\u2019s Center for the Arts is wheelchair accessible.
