The Town of Hanover and the businesses in the Four Corners Historic
\ndistrict of Hanover, MA are once again happy to present:
\nWinter Festival in Four Corners
\nFriday, December 6 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. <\/p>\n
A variety of family-friendly activities are planned throughout the festival
\nincluding: photos with Santa, gingerbread decorating and ornament making
\nfor children, a historical walking tour, and performances by local dancers
\nand carolers! The entire neighborhood will be lit with luminaries and there
\nwill be a fire pit and craft vendors. Below is a list of the tentative
\nlineup (schedule subject to change and will be updated as new events are
\nadded):<\/p>\n
\u2022\tBoy Scouts and Girl Scouts will have luminaries lit throughout the
\nneighborhood at 5:30 p.m.
\n\u2022\t\u201cFrozen\u201d parade at 6:00 p.m. Children are welcome to wear costumes.
\n\u2022\t\u201cFrozen\u201d movie screening courtesy of Mr. TV at 6:30 p.m.
\n\u2022\tAbbey Knoll Photography hosting \u201cPictures with Santa\u201d at Fire
\nStation #2 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
\n\u2022\tRenovisions hosting a cider donut bar and sing along caroling from 6:00
\np.m. – 8:30 p.m.
\n\u2022\tStrolling Hanover High School VOX Chorus carolers will host
\nsing-a-longs after 7:00 p.m.
\n\u2022\tIvy and Olives open house all evening with wreath raffle
\n\u2022\tTalbot Antiques open house with free antique appraisals
\n\u2022\tStephen O\u2019Neill of the Hanover Historical Society leading a
\nhistorical walking tour at 7:00 p.m.
\n\u2022\tPhoenix Lodge tours and free clam chowder
\n\u2022\tFire pits on the grass in the Four Corners parking lot provided by the
\nBoy Scouts, with s’mores provided by the Girl Scouts. Hanover\u2019s new
\nall-girl Boy Scout troop will also be selling hot dogs as a fundraiser.
\n\u2022\tMary Lou\u2019s 50 cent hot chocolate special
\n\u2022\tMom on the Go food truck, Wahlburgers and other food trucks at Salmond
\nSchool
\n\u2022\tChildren\u2019s ornament making craft area to decorate the Four Corners
\nChristmas tree
\n\u2022\tSchool Store open at Salmond School selling Hanover gear
\n\u2022\tPark and Rec, Council on Aging, Office of Family & Community
\nEngagement, John Curtis Library + HCTV hosting a photo booth, corn hole
\ngames, and crafts at Salmond School.
\n\u2022\tLorraine\u2019s Cakes hosting Gingerbread cookie decorating for children
\n\u2022\tToys for Tots collecting new toys in the ambulance parked on the square
\n\u2022\tSt. Andrew\u2019s Church hosting their annual cookie sale
\n\u2022\tBeer Garden at Fire Station #2
\n\u2022\tVendor booths on Church Street
\n\u2022\tOfficial Town Ornament for sale at Portside Real Estate<\/p>\n
The following performers are blocked off for dancing on the MAIN STAGE
\narea, which will be located just outside to the left of Mary Lou’s.<\/p>\n
\u2022\tFrozen Performance followed by Parade – 6:00 p.m.
\n\u2022\tJacqueline’s Dance Studio – 6:30 p.m.
\n\u2022\tShoestrings Dance Studio – 6:45 p.m.
\n\u2022\tPembroke School of Performing Arts – 7:00 p.m.
\n\u2022\tConnolly Academy Irish Dancers – 7:15 p.m.
\n\u2022\tSouth Shore Ballet Theater Nutcracker – 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
There will also be a second performance stage in front of the Salmond
\nSchool, and the schedule is as follows:
\n\u2022\tPembroke School of Performing Arts 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
As has been the case in past years, the square will be closed to traffic
\nwith parking available at Columbia Plaza (formerly Tedeschi Plaza). New
\nthis year, a limousine shuttle service will be running every 10 minutes,
\nfrom 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., between the town bandstand (in front of
\nSylvester School at B. Everett Hall Field) to Four Corners. The limos are
\nstroller friendly. <\/p>\n
