{"id":3504,"date":"2019-12-02T22:15:02","date_gmt":"2019-12-03T02:15:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/atotw.com\/archive\/?p=3504"},"modified":"2019-12-02T22:15:02","modified_gmt":"2019-12-03T02:15:02","slug":"winter-festival-in-four-corners-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atotw.com\/archive\/?p=3504","title":{"rendered":"Winter Festival in Four Corners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n<p>The Town of Hanover and the businesses in the Four Corners Historic<br \/>\ndistrict of Hanover, MA are once again happy to present:<br \/>\nWinter Festival in Four Corners<br \/>\nFriday, December 6 from 5:30 p.m. &#8211; 8:30 p.m. <\/p>\n<p>A variety of family-friendly activities are planned throughout the festival<br \/>\nincluding: photos with Santa, gingerbread decorating and ornament making<br \/>\nfor children, a historical walking tour, and performances by local dancers<br \/>\nand carolers! The entire neighborhood will be lit with luminaries and there<br \/>\nwill be a fire pit and craft vendors. Below is a list of the tentative<br \/>\nlineup (schedule subject to change and will be updated as new events are<br \/>\nadded):<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tBoy Scouts and Girl Scouts will have luminaries lit throughout the<br \/>\nneighborhood at 5:30 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\t\u201cFrozen\u201d parade at 6:00 p.m. Children are welcome to wear costumes.<br \/>\n\u2022\t\u201cFrozen\u201d movie screening courtesy of Mr. TV at 6:30 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tAbbey Knoll Photography hosting \u201cPictures with Santa\u201d at Fire<br \/>\nStation #2 from 6:30 p.m. &#8211; 8:00 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tRenovisions hosting a cider donut bar and sing along caroling from 6:00<br \/>\np.m. &#8211; 8:30 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tStrolling Hanover High School VOX Chorus carolers will host<br \/>\nsing-a-longs after 7:00 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tIvy and Olives open house all evening with wreath raffle<br \/>\n\u2022\tTalbot Antiques open house with free antique appraisals<br \/>\n\u2022\tStephen O\u2019Neill of the Hanover Historical Society leading a<br \/>\nhistorical walking tour at 7:00 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tPhoenix Lodge tours and free clam chowder<br \/>\n\u2022\tFire pits on the grass in the Four Corners parking lot provided by the<br \/>\nBoy Scouts, with s&#8217;mores provided by the Girl Scouts. Hanover\u2019s new<br \/>\nall-girl Boy Scout troop will also be selling hot dogs as a fundraiser.<br \/>\n\u2022\tMary Lou\u2019s 50 cent hot chocolate special<br \/>\n\u2022\tMom on the Go food truck, Wahlburgers and other food trucks at Salmond<br \/>\nSchool<br \/>\n\u2022\tChildren\u2019s ornament making craft area to decorate the Four Corners<br \/>\nChristmas tree<br \/>\n\u2022\tSchool Store open at Salmond School selling Hanover gear<br \/>\n\u2022\tPark and Rec, Council on Aging, Office of Family &amp; Community<br \/>\nEngagement, John Curtis Library + HCTV hosting a photo booth, corn hole<br \/>\ngames, and crafts at Salmond School.<br \/>\n\u2022\tLorraine\u2019s Cakes hosting Gingerbread cookie decorating for children<br \/>\n\u2022\tToys for Tots collecting new toys in the ambulance parked on the square<br \/>\n\u2022\tSt. Andrew\u2019s Church hosting their annual cookie sale<br \/>\n\u2022\tBeer Garden at Fire Station #2<br \/>\n\u2022\tVendor booths on Church Street<br \/>\n\u2022\tOfficial Town Ornament for sale at Portside Real Estate<\/p>\n<p>The following performers are blocked off for dancing on the MAIN STAGE<br \/>\narea, which will be located just outside to the left of Mary Lou&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tFrozen Performance followed by Parade &#8211; 6:00 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tJacqueline&#8217;s Dance Studio &#8211; 6:30 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tShoestrings Dance Studio &#8211; 6:45 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tPembroke School of Performing Arts &#8211; 7:00 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tConnolly Academy Irish Dancers &#8211; 7:15 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tSouth Shore Ballet Theater Nutcracker &#8211; 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>There will also be a second performance stage in front of the Salmond<br \/>\nSchool, and the schedule is as follows:<br \/>\n\u2022\tPembroke School of Performing Arts 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>As has been the case in past years, the square will be closed to traffic<br \/>\nwith parking available at Columbia Plaza (formerly Tedeschi Plaza). New<br \/>\nthis year, a limousine shuttle service will be running every 10 minutes,<br \/>\nfrom 5:00 p.m. &#8211; 9:00 p.m., between the town bandstand (in front of<br \/>\nSylvester School at B. Everett Hall Field) to Four Corners.
