There’s lots going on at the John Curtis Library for children this winter!<\/p>\n
Upcoming Children’s Programs at John Curtis Library<\/p>\n
Yoga class–Mondays, January 6 – March 16, 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
\nFor children ages 3 to 6, with instructor Christine Walker. Partner with
\nyour little yogi in super fun poses, games, music, stories, breathing
\nexercises, meditation, and guided relaxation. This fun class provides a
\nmagical bonding experience between the adult and child. <\/p>\n
Spanish class–Tuesdays, January 7 – March 17, 2:00 p.m.- 2:45 p.m.
\nJoin in this introductory Spanish class designed for children ages 3 to 6.
\nStarting a new language at a young age can set the foundation for a
\nlife-long love of language learning. Instructor Jennifer Coyle uses
\nstories, puppets, crafts, games, songs, and imaginative play to make
\nlearning a new language fun.<\/p>\n
STEM Playgroup–Wednesdays, January 8 – February 12, 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 noon
\nPlaygroup for children ages 3 to 5 years. Explore the world through
\nscience, technology, engineering, and math with everyday activities.
\nPresented by the South Shore Family Network, a program of South Shore
\nCommunity Action Council.<\/p>\n
Music Makers with Ms. Bethany–Saturdays, January 11 and 25, 10:15 a.m. –
\n10:45 a.m.
\nEnhance your little one\u2019s love of music during this special bonding time.
\nEach class will have songs, dances, and movement games that will excite
\nyour budding musician. Music is proven to aid in a child\u2019s development
\nand language skills as they practice new vocabulary, the rhythm and
\nstructure of speech, and tonality. Attend one class or both. <\/p>\n

\nThe yoga, Spanish and music classes are funded by the Friends of the
\nLibrary.
