\nHanover Day is set for June 27th and volunteers are now being sought for
\nthe following roles. If you have always wanted to participate in Hanover
\nDay, but didn\u2019t know how to, here are some ideas! Please contact Chris

Volunteer Opportunities
\nThese are the major volunteer opportunities that need to be solidified now,
\nand we have some folks already working in these areas who could use
\nassistance. On the day of the event, there are many other things that will
\nneed to be assigned, so all levels of interest and availability are
\nwelcome. We can definitely use more hands to lighten the load!<\/p>\n
– Assist Dave Malekpour with Hanover\u2019s Got Talent auditions and managing
\nthe logistics of the acts
\n– Also assist Dave with the Battle of the Bands to seek out bands, market
\nthe event, obtain prizes and sponsors
\n– Sponsorship requests. Work with Chris Hillier to contact local businesses
\nabout sponsorships and participation.
\n– Cathy H-B needs 8 drivers of shuttle vans to bring vendors back and forth
\nto Briggs Stables, and do the pickup routes to senior housing throughout
\nthe day. No special license is required to drive the vans.
\n– 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament coordinator. Could be one or two people.
\nMaybe an adult and a HS student with an interest in basketball? Manage
\nregistrations, set up games, coordinate referees, help obtain prizes for
\nwinners. We have templates to use from past years. This is a fun event but
\nhas lots of moving parts \u2013 perfect for an organized mind!
\n– Volunteer coordination. Work with Molly Connolly to ensure all have CORI
\nchecks, sign up volunteers for parts of the event that need them, sign off
\non HS students\u2019 forms for community service hours. Help recruit
\nvolunteers at the high school.
\n– Info booth captain. On the day of the event, the info booth should be
\nstaffed at all times. Coordinate volunteers to be sure someone is always
\nthere throughout the day to answer questions, direct volunteers who arrive
\nfor their shifts, stay in contact on walkie-talkies in case of an
\nemergency.
\n– Food vendor coordinator. Work with food trucks and other vendors on
\nselection and locations.
\n– Field management. Work with Paul Nimeskern to sure the tables, chairs,
\nand tents we order get to where they need to go (stage, 3-on-3 courts, food
\ntent, etc.). Be sure generators are in place and operational. Work with DPW
\nand others on logistics and be sure we are keeping required clearances for
\nfire trucks, etc.
\n– Marketing and promotion. Work with Rachel Hughes to help with social
\nmedia, website, promotions, etc. Also, making sure we promote all of the
\ndifferent activities that are happening throughout the day to target
\naudiences (seniors, kids, athletes, crafters, stage performers)<\/p>\n
