Today’s good news from the Town of Hanover!<\/p>\n
Late last week the Legislature approved, and the Governor signed, a new law
\nallowing municipalities to delay Motor Vehicle Excise Tax deadlines.<\/p>\n
Hanover\u2019s Town Manager made the decision, which has been ratified by the
\nBoard of Selectmen, to set the due date for the Motor Vehicle Excise Tax
\nbills originally due April 13, 2020 to the new deadline of June 1, 2020.
\nThese bills may be paid until June 1 without incurring penalties or
\ninterest.<\/p>\n
This decision does not currently affect any other tax deadline, including
\nMotor Vehicle Excise Tax bills due on dates other than April 13, 2020.<\/p>\n
