\nof the John Curtis Library would be furloughed. Thanks to Director Ginny
\nJohnson for thinking of all of us in this time of personal and professional

\nmention since it is National Library Week!<\/p>\n
“John Curtis Free Library — The doors to the Library may be closed, but we
\nare still here for our community. <\/p>\n
During National Library Week, we wanted to take a minute to highlight all
\nthat your library is doing for you during this global pandemic. First and
\nforemost, it\u2019s part of our job to share information about local, state,
\nand federal resources regarding COVID-19 \u2013 everything from how to stay
\nhealthy to helping your neighbors. Our Facebook page has daily information
\nabout resources that may prove useful to you and your family as you
\nnavigate this new normal. Please \u2018like\u2019 our page and follow us to be
\nkept informed.<\/p>\n
Our digital collections are expanding and are available 24-7; free to use
\nwith your library card! Don\u2019t have a library card? Register for an
\n\u201ce-card\u201d at catalog.ocln.org. We are excited to announce that we\u2019ve
\nhad more than 60 new Library card applications in the last 30 days using
\nthis method; thank you, and we hope you enjoy the collections \u2013 and
\nplease visit us when we reopen!<\/p>\n
Looking for something to read (both in eBook and eAudiobook)? Check out

\nYou are welcome to use your devices in our parking lot; however, please
\nobserve social distancing. <\/p>\n
Not crazy about everything being electronic, and prefer to have an item in
\nhand? There are carts outside the main door to the Library with a
\nselection of books for all ages as well as audio and video items for free
\nfor you to take home. We endeavor to add to the cart at least twice a
\nweek, so check back often if you can!<\/p>\n
As always, we are answering reference questions \u2013 just in a different
\nway! We are answering emails and responding to voice messages remotely,
\nand you can message us via our Facebook page. We can help you search the
\ndatabases and catalogs we provide, assist in placing holds for when
\ndelivery is back in service, provide \u2018what do I read next\u2019 advice, as
\nwell as offer assistance in obtaining an ecard, navigating unemployment and
\ntax information, and more. Don\u2019t hesitate to ask!<\/p>\n
