Hanover Town Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier announced that Wednesday, June
\n17th is the last day to register to vote in the June 27th Annual Town
\nElection. The Hanover Town Clerk\u2019s\/Registrar\u2019s Office will be open
\nfrom 2:00 p.m. \u2013 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. \u2013 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday
\nthe 17th. <\/p>\n
Additionally, the last day and time to register to vote at the Annual Town
\nMeeting is Tuesday, June 9th at 8:00 p.m. and the last day and time to
\nregister to vote at the Special Town Meeting is Friday, June 19th at 8:00
\np.m. Please come to the Town Clerk\u2019s\/Registrar\u2019s side entrance lower
\nlevel door those two nights if you need to register in person. Read on for
\non-line registration information!<\/p>\n
Any Hanover citizen who will be eighteen on or before the first day of Town
\nMeeting (June 29th) or by the Town Election (June 27th) is encouraged to
\nregister to vote. Once registered, individuals will be eligible to vote in
\nall elections thereafter. Further, residents may \u201cpre-register\u201d to
\nvote if they are age 16 or 17, but they will not be eligible to vote until
\nthey turn 18.<\/p>\n
Citizens of Hanover may conveniently register to vote or change their party
\nstatus on-line, by mail or in person. The link for on-line registration is

\u201cNew residents and high school students are strongly encouraged to
\nregister to vote. It is the cornerstone of our democracy!\u201d said Town
\nClerk Catherine Harder-Bernier. \u201cSeveral major decisions have been made
\non Town Meeting floor by a one-vote margin and some local elections have
\nturned on less than 10 votes just in the past few years. Register now to
\nvote\u2026so you can vote in May!\u201d<\/p>\n
