The John Curtis Free Library is offering video programming for children and
\nfamilies by performers who would have visited us in person this summer.
\nAll of these performers have visited our library in past years and have
\nbeen very enthusiastically received by audiences. Here is the lineup with
\nlinks to the videos, all of which may be viewed at any time through the
\nmonth of August.<\/p>\n

\nMaster storyteller Diane Edgecomb entertains young and old with this
\ndelightful re-telling of unusual fairy tales. From enchanted bears, to
\ndetermined princesses, to a wild ride with a fairy band, Once Upon a Time
\nhas never been this fun!

\nOne of America’s most beloved storytellers, Diane is known for transforming
\ninto the characters in her tales, bringing stories to vibrant life.
\nDiane is also offering an online storytelling workshop for families:

Science Tellers

\nLong, long ago, two kids go on a daring adventure to find a dragon and save
\nthe kingdom from the Ice Sorceress! When things don\u2019t go as planned,
\nhowever, they must turn to themselves (and to science!) for the answer. A
\nfun fantasy adventure with dry ice effects!
\nSince 2004, Science Tellers has been providing children and their families
\nwith fun, experiential science education through the art of interactive
\nstorytelling.

Ed the Wizard
\n“Reading Is Magic\u201d

\nEd’s performance incorporates many amazing magic tricks while emphasizing
\nhow inspiration can be found in a book. He encourages the importance of
\nbuilding reading skills, including demonstrations of how audience members
\ncan re-create some of his magic themselves. This summer’s program is full
\nof fairies, dragons and other mythological creatures. Learn about Ed the
\nWizard’s own story, his magical journey and how he became a wizard.
