Ballot “kits” for the November 3rd State Election were finally received in
\nthe Hanover Town Clerk’s Office from the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s
\nElections Division on Wednesday, October 7th in the afternoon. Since then,
\nthe office staff, including extra per diem staff, have been working very
\nhard to begin to get the 3,600 Vote by Mail ballots (8 – 10 times the usual
\nnumber for a presidential election) that have been requested out to Hanover
\nvoters. It’s a very labor intensive process that requires many checks and
\nbalances in order to make sure your ballot gets to the right address.
\nThank you in advance for your patience.<\/p>\n
Town Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier currently anticipates that all 3,600
\nballots will be mailed out by the middle or end of next week. Please give
\nthe US Post Office 3-5 business days after that to deliver your ballot to

The new ballot drop box in front of Town Hall will be re-opened soon for
\nyou to return your ballot easily and securely. Please consider returning
\nyour ballot as soon as possible – to help the staff who will be processing
\nthe returns get ahead of the crush.<\/p>\n
