The annual town census has been mailed to all Hanover households. Again
\nthis year \u2013 if you do not have any changes to your town census, you may
\nsubmit your response on-line! All residents should review the information
\non the form, make any changes if necessary, and sign and return the form by
\nFebruary 15, 2021. <\/p>\n
If there are no changes to your town census, go to:
\nhttp:\/\/atotw.com\/maillist\/lt.php?tid=fFtviah1yIKjSurjiz6GkwfyWYxQAhhagpS8fZu+hlZoqLt7nDPYRqoN783ZLADJ
\nand fill out the on-line form. Household members who are temporarily
\nliving away from home, such as college students, members of the military
\nservices, etc., should not be removed from the census if they plan to use
\nHanover as their voting address.<\/p>\n
Also included in the census mailing are a Hanover School Information Sheet
\nand a Dog License Application. If applicable to your household, these forms
\nshould also be completed and may all be returned via snail mail in the
\nenclosed addressed envelope or dropped through the front door mail slot of
\nthe Hanover Town Hall. All children should be listed on both the annual
\ncensus and the school census forms.<\/p>\n

Completion of the annual census is important for a number of reasons.
\n1.\tIt assists the police and fire departments in case of any emergency in
\nyour home.
\n2.\tIt allows Hanover to receive the proper allocation of state and federal
\nfunds and grants.
\n3.\tFiling a census can provide you with proof of residency for a number of
\nlegal requirements such as in-state tuition at state colleges, housing
\nbenefits, veterans\u2019 benefits, and insurance benefits.
\n4.\tAny registered voters in a household that fail to complete an annual
\ncensus will lose their \u201cactive voter\u201d status, which will result in you
\nexperiencing unnecessary delays at the polls.<\/p>\n
Please be sure your family phone number is on the census form. Your phone
\nnumber will only be used for internal purposes and not shared or sold.<\/p>\n
