The  Hanover<br \/>\nCultural Council is excited to announce Kite Day 2009 for Hanover&#8217;s  children.<br \/>\nOn <u>Saturday, April 25<\/u>, Dr. Wallace Kemp will again open his field  at 688<br \/>\nMain Street from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to anyone interested in flying a  kite<br \/>\n(rain date is Sunday, April 26). This field is situated on a hill which  affords<br \/>\nwonderful kite-flying on a moderately windy day. As the field is part of  larger<br \/>\nconservation area of the Wildlands Trust of Southeastern Massachusetts,  there<br \/>\nis plenty of space for all. Don McCasland, the Program Director of the  Blue<br \/>\nHill Observatory and an avid kite-lover, will also be at the field to  provide<br \/>\ngreat tips on kite-flying technique.<\/span><span lang=\"3DEN\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"3DEN\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"3DEN\">In conjunction with this event, the Friends of the John  Curtis<br \/>\nFree Library will host a <u>kite-making program on Saturday, April  25<\/u> from<br \/>\n10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. downstairs at the John Curtis Free Library. Don<br \/>\nMcCasland will provide kite kits and show you how to construct your  kite.
