Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n

What are you going to do with your April vacation? The Hanover
\nCultural Council is excited to announce Kite Day 2009 for Hanover’s children.
\nOn Saturday, April 25<\/u>, Dr. Wallace Kemp will again open his field at 688
\nMain Street from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to anyone interested in flying a kite
\n(rain date is Sunday, April 26). This field is situated on a hill which affords
\nwonderful kite-flying on a moderately windy day. As the field is part of larger
\nconservation area of the Wildlands Trust of Southeastern Massachusetts, there
\nis plenty of space for all. Don McCasland, the Program Director of the Blue
\nHill Observatory and an avid kite-lover, will also be at the field to provide
\ngreat tips on kite-flying technique.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

In conjunction with this event, the Friends of the John Curtis
\nFree Library will host a kite-making program on Saturday, April 25<\/u> from
\n10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. downstairs at the John Curtis Free Library. Don
\nMcCasland will provide kite kits and show you how to construct your kite. This
\nevent is recommended to children ages 4-8 with a parent and for 8 and over
\nwithout a parent (the parent must otherwise remain in the library).  The
\nprogram lasts for about 45 minutes.  These activities are free (funded by
\nthe Hanover Cultural Council and the Friends of the John Curtis Free Library)
\nand open to the public, but you must register your child to make a kite at
\nthe children’s circulation desk at the library<\/u>.  There are 40 spaces
\nreserved from 10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., another 40 spaces from 11:15 a.m. to
\n12:00 p.m.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
