\nmany people who are still reeling from the economic impact of COVID-19, so
\nI thought I would share the following part-time job posting from one of our
\nnon-profit neighbors in Norwell. Please forward this e-mail or mention it

Part-Time Building Manager
\n(10-15 hours\/week, includes on-call)<\/p>\n
First Parish Norwell located at 24 River Street, Norwell is looking for an
\nexperienced Building Manager or Property Management Company (the
\n\u2018Applicant\u2019) to oversee the operations of the physical plant for First
\nParish Norwell which includes four historic buildings (church,
\nparsonage\/residence, Kent House, and The James Library). The Applicant will
\nbe responsible for coordinating and managing maintenance and repair
\nactivities and liaising with vendors to ensure smooth daily building
\noperations, overall safety, and long-term capital planning. <\/p>\n
To be successful Applicant, you should have excellent organizational,
\ninterpersonal, and project management skills. A top-notch Building Manager
\nshould be able to respond to and resolve any issues reported by staff or
\ntenants efficiently. The successful Applicant will be required to pass a
\nCORI\/SORI check. <\/p>\n
Building Manager Responsibilities:
\n\u2022\tEstablishing a work order process and management system with reporting.
\n\u2022\tCoordinating and overseeing regular building maintenance and repairs.
\n\u2022\tWorking with the buildings and grounds committee which is the all
\nvolunteer committee which oversees this area of operations.
\n\u2022\tPreparing and carrying out emergency protocols and procedures.
\n\u2022\tMaintaining a safe environment for building staff and visitors.
\n\u2022\tPreparing and monitoring maintenance budgets.
\n\u2022\tNegotiating and liaising with third-party service providers.
\n\u2022\tConducting regular building inspections and preparing reports.
\n\u2022\tEnsuring facilities follow applicable policies, regulations, and
\nbuilding codes.
\n\u2022\tResponding to inquiries and requests by building users and resolving
\nany problems or issues. <\/p>\n
Applicant Requirements:
\n\u2022\tGED or high school diploma.
\n\u2022\tConstruction supervisors license preferred.
\n\u2022\tAt least seven years of experience in construction, property
\nmanagement, maintenance services.
\n\u2022\tWorking knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and building codes.
\n\u2022\tExcellent project management, multi-tasking, and negotiation skills.
\n\u2022\tGood communication and customer service skills.<\/p>\n
