Please forward this e-mail or mention it<br \/>\nto someone who may be interested!<\/p>\n<p>Part-Time Building Manager<br \/>\n(10-15 hours\/week, includes on-call)<\/p>\n<p>First Parish Norwell located at 24 River Street, Norwell is looking for an<br \/>\nexperienced Building Manager or Property Management Company (the<br \/>\n\u2018Applicant\u2019) to oversee the operations of the physical plant for First<br \/>\nParish Norwell which includes four historic buildings (church,<br \/>\nparsonage\/residence, Kent House, and The James Library). The Applicant will<br \/>\nbe responsible for coordinating and managing maintenance and repair<br \/>\nactivities and liaising with vendors to ensure smooth daily building<br \/>\noperations, overall safety, and long-term capital planning. <\/p>\n<p>To be successful Applicant, you should have excellent organizational,<br \/>\ninterpersonal, and project management skills. A top-notch Building Manager<br \/>\nshould be able to respond to and resolve any issues reported by staff or<br \/>\ntenants efficiently. The successful Applicant will be required to pass a<br \/>\nCORI\/SORI check. <\/p>\n<p>Building Manager Responsibilities:<br \/>\n\u2022\tEstablishing a work order process and management system with reporting.<br \/>\n\u2022\tCoordinating and overseeing regular building maintenance and repairs.<br \/>\n\u2022\tWorking with the buildings and grounds committee which is the all<br \/>\nvolunteer committee which oversees this area of operations.<br \/>\n\u2022\tPreparing and carrying out emergency protocols and procedures.<br \/>\n\u2022\tMaintaining a safe environment for building staff and visitors.<br \/>\n\u2022\tPreparing and monitoring maintenance budgets.<br \/>\n\u2022\tNegotiating and liaising with third-party service providers.<br \/>\n\u2022\tConducting regular building inspections and preparing reports.<br \/>\n\u2022\tEnsuring facilities follow applicable policies, regulations, and<br \/>\nbuilding codes.<br \/>\n\u2022\tResponding to inquiries and requests by building users and resolving<br \/>\nany problems or issues. <\/p>\n<p>Applicant Requirements:<br \/>\n\u2022\tGED or high school diploma.<br \/>\n\u2022\tConstruction supervisors license preferred.<br \/>\n\u2022\tAt least seven years of experience in construction, property<br \/>\nmanagement, maintenance services.<br \/>\n\u2022\tWorking knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and building codes.<br \/>\n\u2022\tExcellent project management, multi-tasking, and negotiation skills.<br \/>\n\u2022\tGood communication and customer service skills.<\/p>\n<p>About First Parish Norwell<br \/>\nFirst Parish of Norwell is a liberal church in dialogue with the religious<br \/>\nquestions of the modern world, yet still honoring the best within our<br \/>\nJudeo-Christian heritage.
