Hanover Town Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier announced that Tuesday, April
\n13th is the last day to register to vote in the May 3rd Annual Town Meeting
\nand\/or in the May 8th Annual Town Election. (If you are already registered
\nin Hanover, you don’t need to register again!) The Hanover Town
\nClerk\u2019s\/Registrar\u2019s Office will be open until 8:00 p.m. on April 13th,
\nand on-line registration will be available until 11:59 p.m. that night.
\nPlease come to the Town Clerk\u2019s\/Registrar\u2019s side entrance lower level
\ndoor if you need to register in person. Read on for on-line registration
\ninformation!<\/p>\n
Any Hanover citizen who will be eighteen on or before the first day of Town
\nMeeting (May 3rd) or by the Town Election (May 8th) is encouraged to
\nregister to vote. Once registered, individuals will be eligible to vote in
\nall elections thereafter. Further, residents may \u201cpre-register\u201d to
\nvote if they are age 16 or 17, but they will not be eligible to vote until
\nthey turn 18.<\/p>\n
Citizens of Hanover may conveniently register to vote or change their party
\nstatus on-line, by mail or in person. The link for on-line registration is

If voters wish to register to vote in person, they may do so at two
\nconvenient locations: Hanover Town Hall or the Registry of Motor Vehicles. <\/p>\n
\u201cNew residents and high school students are strongly encouraged to
\nregister to vote. It is the cornerstone of our democracy!\u201d said Town
\nClerk Catherine Harder-Bernier. \u201cSeveral major decisions have been made
\non Town Meeting floor by a one-vote margin and some local elections have
\nturned on less than 10 votes just in the past few years. Register now to
\nvote\u2026so you can vote in May!\u201d<\/p>\n
