Candidates\u2019 Night, sponsored by the Hanover Woman\u2019s Club, Juniors, will
\ntake place on Tuesday, April 13th at 7:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 and the
\nrestrictions of large gatherings, the forum will once again be held as a
\nZoom webinar. <\/p>\n
Candidates\u2019 Night is an annual event hosted by the club that features
\ncandidates running for local office in Hanover. The program consists of a
\nshort presentation by each candidate running for a town office followed by
\na question and answer period led by moderator Mary Ann Brugnoli. The forum
\nis open to the public for viewing on Zoom or local cable TV giving those
\nattending a chance to hear the views of the candidates on important issues
\naffecting the town. Hearing the candidates in this setting will give town
\nresidents the opportunity to cast an educated vote on Saturday, May 8,
\nduring the town election. <\/p>\n
With 9 open positions for town office it should prove to be a lively and
\ninformative meeting. Open positions include: Board of Selectman, 2, School
\nCommittee, 2, Board of Assessors, 1, Planning Board, 1, Board of Health, 1,
\nLibrary Trustee, 1, and Moderator, 1. The public may submit questions for
\nthe candidates to the club\u2019s email address hwcj1970@yahoo.com. Deadline
\nfor questions to be submitted is April 3.<\/p>\n
