Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/span><\/p>\n

David Coffin, a musician, singer, storyteller, educator
\nand maritime specialist, will present “Life At Sea:  A Voyage In
\nSong” at the John Curtis Library on Tuesday, April 21 at 4:00 p.m. 
\nThe musical program recreates a<\/span><\/p>\n

voyage on an old New England whaling ship, with the
\naudience members serving as the ship’s crew.  Mr. Coffin will lead
\nthe audience in singing sea shanties, “hoisting the sails”, and
\nacting out other shipboard <\/span><\/p>\n

activities.  Playing the concertina and other
\ninstruments, he is particularly skilled at getting a whole audience
\nsinging.  There will also be an appearance by his friend, “Pierre
\nwith the bad hair”.  The program is very <\/span><\/p>\n

interactive, full of humor, and informative as well as
\nentertaining.  <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Coffin is a descendant of the Nantucket Coffins,
\none of the most prominent American seafaring families.   He is a
\nmulti-talented performer who has been playing and singing music in many genres
\nat hundreds of <\/span><\/p>\n

venues all over the country for more than 20 years.  The
\nprogram is for families with children in kindergarten and older.  Free advance
\ntickets are available but not crucial.  For more information, please call
