It’s officially campaign season! The ballot for the May Annual Town
\nElection was finalized this evening and Candidate’s Night is next week. I
\nam pleased to once again provide the “Candidate Information Sheets” that
\nhave been submitted to the Hanover Women’s Club, Jrs. in preparation for
\nthat evening.<\/p>\n
The first submission follows below. (All information will be sent on ATOTW
\nwithout editing and in the order they are received.)<\/p>\n

\nI received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston College in 1996. I
\nhave been a Registered Nurse for nearly 25 years and have worked in a
\nvariety of specialties including Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive
\nCare, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, the Operating Room, and OB\/Gyn office
\nand on a medical\/surgical floor. I also review cases as a nurse expert in
\nthe area of Labor and Delivery. I will use my healthcare background to
\nmake the best, most informed decisions I can for Hanover.<\/p>\n
What are the major issues confronting the town which involve your office.
\nPlease express your opinion on these issues and how you propose to deal
\nwith them.
\nI was drawn to the opening on the Board of Health when I realized that the
\nBoard lacked representation from a healthcare professional, particularly
\nduring a pandemic. I would be new to the Board of Health so I would have a
\nlot to learn and would be willing to do so but I have a definite interest
\nin the pandemic response, which I believe Hanover has done exceptionally
\nwell, our town water issues, and continued development of Hanover. I will
\ntake the time to learn about all the issues which come before the Board and
\ndo my best to make the best decision for our town. <\/p>\n
Why are you running for this office?
\nI have a strong belief in giving back. I have served on the PTA here in
\nHanover since my oldest was in Kindergarten and I see this as another way
\nto become involved and give back to a town which I love and which has given
\nso much to my family. The Board of Health seemed like the best fit with my
\nnursing background.<\/p>\n
