Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
Hanover Annual Town Elections will be held at Hanover High School,
\nSaturday, May 8, 2021.<\/p>\n
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Massachusetts Legislature extended some of
\nthe mandated voting provisions from 2020 into the 2021 Spring Election
\nseason. Hanover residents who are taking precautions due to COVID-19 are
\nencouraged to vote by mail and avoid in-person contact on Election Day.
\nThis action will help to protect the health of all voters as well as the
\nhealth of election staff. Regardless of COVID-19, all residents will be
\nable to vote using one of four methods in the May Annual Town Election as
\nfollows:<\/p>\n
1.\tVote by Mail – applications for a Vote by Mail ballot must be received
\nin the office of the Town Clerk before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4.
\nBallots are currently available to be mailed. Voters may track the status
\nof their vote-by-mail ballot at
\nhttp:\/\/atotw.com\/maillist\/lt.php?tid=xDTs2r0WBOq+cjcdTcMKAawLwtEsl7upkQ\/LY1cOt3hoqLt7nDPYRqoN783ZLADJ<\/p>\n
2.\tVote Absentee In-person – applications for an in-person ballot must be
\nreceived in the office of the Town Clerk before 12 noon on Friday, May 7.
\nExpect long lines, and plan to social distance and wear a mask. Voters may
\ntrack the status of their mail-in absentee or in-person absentee ballot at
\nhttp:\/\/atotw.com\/maillist\/lt.php?tid=xDTs2r0WBOq+cjcdTcMKAawLwtEsl7upkQ\/LY1cOt3hoqLt7nDPYRqoN783ZLADJ<\/p>\n
3.\tVote by Emergency Absentee Ballot – allowable for anyone instructed to
\nself-quarantine beginning after 12 noon on Saturday, May 1. <\/p>\n
4.\tVote on Election Day – polls will be open at Hanover High School, 287
\nCedar Street, from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

\nand mail it to the Town Clerk’s Office, 550 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA
\n02339, email it to the Town Clerk’s Office, or drop it in the front door
\nmail slot of Town Hall. Applications can also be picked up outside the
\nTown Clerk\u2019s Office during Town Hall business hours. The application MUST
\ninclude your signature; typed requests or e-mails requesting early ballots
\nwithout your signature cannot be accepted. After we confirm that you are a
\nregistered voter in Hanover, we will process your request and your ballot
\nwill be mailed to you. Instructions will be enclosed. Ballots may be
\nreturned either by mail or by depositing them in the new secure drop box in
\nfront of Town Hall. Ballots must be returned by the close of polls on
\nElection Day.<\/p>\n
