Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Every year for as long as I can remember, the Hanover
\nWoman’s Club, Juniors (and the League of Women Voters before them) hosts
\nthe all-important Annual Hanover Candidate’s Night prior to the May
\nAnnual Town Elections.  This year is certainly no exception.  On
\nTuesday, April 28th beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the large meeting room
\nat Town Hall<\/b>, candidates for town-wide office will state their views on the
\nvarious issues facing our town and their respective sought-after offices.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This year there are contested races for both Selectman and
\nthe Board of Health, as well as the all-important Town Manager ballot
\nquestion.  Candidates for positions on the Board of Assessors, Board of
\nPublic Works, Housing Authority, Planning Board, School Committee, Library
\nTrustees and the position of Town Moderator have also been asked to
\nattend.  A representative from the Town Manager Study Committee will
\noutline that proposal, too.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Audience members will receive a packet of background resumes
\nupon their arrival.  Candidates will make opening statements, and then the
\naudience will be invited to write down their questions and submit them to the
\nCandidate’s Night moderator (yours truly!) for consideration.  The
\nmoderator will then run a round-robin question and answer session.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Hanover Candidate’s Night is always an informative and
\nlively evening.  A well-educated electorate is a cornerstone of successful
\ndemocracy.  Don’t miss it!  I’ll look forward to seeing
\nyou there.<\/p>\n
