HANOVER GARDEN CLUB AND WALNUT HILL GARDEN CLUB PREPARE FOR PLANT SALE ON
\nMAY 22<\/p>\n
SALE FEATURES PLANTS THAT THRIVE IN LOCAL CONDITIONS<\/p>\n
On Saturday, May 22, 2021, Hanover Garden Club and Walnut Hill Garden Club
\nof Hanover will hold a joint public plant sale from 8:30 a.m. \u2013 1:00 p.m.
\nat Riley Hall of the First Congregational Church UCC located at 17 Silver
\nStreet (corner of Silver and Hanover Streets) in Hanover. The sale will
\nfeature a large selection of plants from member gardens, all at affordable
\nprices. The sale will include colorful daylilies, irises, Shasta daisies,
\nornamental grasses; hosta, astilbe and other hardy plants for shade; plus
\nground covers, shrubs and more. <\/p>\n
Members of both clubs have been busy potting up plants from their gardens.
\nIt is suggested that shoppers come early for the best selection, and it is
\nrecommended that they bring plant trays, crates and boxes to carry
\npurchases home. Visitors to the plant sale should park in the front lot of
\nRiley Hall on the corner of 139 and Silver Street, and enter Riley Hall in
\nthe back and exit out the front door.<\/p>\n
Social distancing protocols will be in place to ensure the safety of those
\nvisiting the sale. Face masks will be required.<\/p>\n
Sales proceeds will benefit the clubs\u2019 scholarship programs and civic
\nbeautification projects. Payment must be made by cash or check. For more
