Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
With the recent lifting of some of the COVID-19 restrictions in
\nMassachusetts effective May 29, 2021, I am delighted to report that the
\nTown of Hanover is going to honor our town’s and country’s veterans at a
\nMemorial Day Parade this coming Monday, May 31st. <\/p>\n
The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. (yes, later than the previous usual
\n10:00 a.m. start time). Veterans will lead the way with a few
\nrepresentatives from the Hanover Police and Fire Departments, along with
\nthe scouts and some antique cars. The parade will follow the usual route –
\nleaving from St. Mary’s Parish Hall, up Hanover Street (Route 139) and
\nonward to the Hanover Center Cemetery, with stops at the Civil War canons,
\nHanover Town Hall, Sylvester School, and ending back at the newest
\nVeteran’s Memorial in the front of B. Everett Hall Field. <\/p>\n
Then, immediately following the parade and at approximately 11:30 a.m., a
\nceremony honoring our veterans will be held at the Veteran’s Memorial. And
\nfinally, there will be a picnic at Forge Pond Park from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00
\np.m. complete with food trucks and live music.<\/p>\n
