Want to get a head start on your Halloween costume? Anne Kerrigan of
\nFabulous Facepainting will be at the library to get you started with
\ntips\/tricks! And, no, this isn’t just an ‘oh, how cute, it’s a basketball
\non the cheek’ type of face painting – NOPE!! So come with your ideas, and
\nsee what she can do. <\/p>\n
This is a Young Adult (ages 12-17) program ONLY. Please respect the age
\nlimitations.<\/p>\n

Join the library on Zoom for car care tips from the pros! AAA Northeast\u2019s
\npresentation on Car Maintenance gives basic strategies for vehicle upkeep
\nand checks that will be important for identifying further potential
\nprograms before they become a problem on the road. <\/p>\n
The presentation will cover the following topics: <\/p>\n
\u00b7 Checking tires for wear and tear, proper inflation, and air
\npressure
\n\u00b7 The importance of scheduling maintenance at with the dealership
\nor a mechanic
\n\u00b7 Basic cleaning tips that help maintain the vehicle
\n\u00b7 Gauging different car fluid levels (oil, coolant, etc.)
\n\u00b7 Items that should go in an emergency kit <\/p>\n
The program will be presented by John Paul AAA\u2019s Car Doctor and
\nAutomotive Consumer Advocate. <\/p>\n

The library will be joined by Simply Creative Chef Rob Scott for his
\nVirtual Fall Baking and Cooking Festival on Saturday, October 23rd at 3:00
\np.m. The event will be presented via live stream on Facebook Live. Recipes
\ninclude harvest pumpkin crumb cake, autumn garden vegetable soup, and
\nchopped salad (w\/ apples, cranberries, and apple cider dressing). <\/p>\n
Recipes will be emailed to registered attendees ahead of the event.

\nJohn Curtis Free Library Meeting Room<\/p>\n
Jeff Belanger will be at the library on Monday, October 25th. For over 20
\nyears, Jeff has been exploring the unexplained. He seeks out history,
\nfolklore, ghosts, monsters, and legends all over the world and in your
\nbackyard. New England Legends offers a tour of haunts, monsters, aliens,
\nand weird history from our region. Based on Jeff\u2019s popular weekly podcast
\nand his Emmy-nominated television series on PBS and Amazon Prime, the
\nprogram presents highlights from his own adventures and work. This program
\nincludes a different set of stories every time it\u2019s given. The bizarre is
\ncloser than you think!<\/p>\n
