Our vision is to meet the evolving needs of Hanover\u2019s<br \/>\ngrowing population.<\/p>\n<p>We will do this by:<br \/>\nDelivering quality services and programs that reflect individual needs,<br \/>\npersonal choice, and self-determination based on values, culture, and<br \/>\nlifestyle.<br \/>\nEnhancing an individual\u2019s sense of self-worth by encouraging<br \/>\ncontributions of time and talent.<br \/>\nCreating an environment that encourages social interaction and personal<br \/>\ngrowth.<br \/>\nProviding the opportunity to participate in a variety of interesting and<br \/>\nenjoyable programs.<br \/>\nEnsuring effective planning that supports the COA mission.<\/p>\n<p>Today we are reaching out to let you know about some great new programming<br \/>\nwe have added! <\/p>\n<p>Writing Group<br \/>\nStarting Monday, October 18, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. &#8211; meets every two weeks<br \/>\nDates will be November 1, 15 and 29<br \/>\nFacilitator: Diane Campbell<br \/>\nDo you have a passion for writing and enjoy sharing with others? This is<br \/>\nyour moment to shine. In this writing group you will be able to write about<br \/>\nyour history, what keeps you going during COVID, stories that can be<br \/>\nfiction or nonfiction, poetry, or simple statements. Story telling<br \/>\nespecially with younger children\u2019s stories of your past can be rewarding<br \/>\nand fun. So come join this group!<\/p>\n<p>Book Club<br \/>\nWednesdays at 1:30 p.m. meets every two weeks\u2014November 3 and 17<br \/>\nDates will be November 3, November 17, and December 1.<br \/>\nFacilitator: Diane Campbell<br \/>\nJoin us as we explore a different kind of book club. Participation is encouraged, but<br \/>\nnot mandatory. Good listeners make good friends!  <\/p>\n<p>Reflexology<br \/>\nA soothing yet revitalizing massage of the feet or hands which corresponds<br \/>\nto a mini map of the body. Registration required. <\/p>\n<p>Mindful Meditation<br \/>\nCertified at HMS in Meditation and Visualization Practices for Well-Being,<br \/>\nMarianne Walter LMT CYI will lead you to awareness, calm, focus and<br \/>\npeacefulness, through various components of the meditative process and<br \/>\nmindfulness exercises. Wear comfortable clothing to relax in. Six-week<br \/>\nsession begins Tuesday, November 17th &#8211; 30th, and December 14 &#8211; 28. 9.30 &#8211;<br \/>\n10.30 a.m. Registration required.  **Please bring your own mat and dress<br \/>\ncomfortably. <\/p>\n<p>Staying Fit with Sarah<br \/>\nSarah is back! The COA has secured Sarah\u2019s great exercise class 9:30 a.m.<br \/>\nevery Wednesday! <\/p>\n<p>Crafting\/Ceramics with Brandi<br \/>\nWednesday, November 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m.<br \/>\nJoin us for Crafting\/Ceramics with Brandi! This class will meet once a<br \/>\nmonth on a Wednesday and participants will be able to leave with the<br \/>\nproject made the same day. Art and craft materials will be supplied, and<br \/>\nthis program has been paid for the Hanover Council on Aging. This class is<br \/>\nfree.<\/p>\n<p>Collaging for Fun with Deb<br \/>\nWednesday, November 17, 2021, at 2:00 p.m.<br \/>\nIntergenerational Special Program:  Collaging for Fun and Enjoyment, gift<br \/>\ngiving or personal use, framed, laminated or greeting card.  All ages<br \/>\nwelcome. Finished projects can be used for display or play.  Two trained<br \/>\nconsultants provide all materials ready to use.  Materials include 5&#215;7 card<br \/>\nstocks with choice of framing, laminating or envelopes for gift giving<br \/>\ntogether with precut pictures, no cutting needed, and glue sticks for<br \/>\nsimplicity of all ages.  Surface area will be kept clean with covering.<br \/>\nProgram area will be swept upon completion.  <\/p>\n<p>We also have a very large selection of audio books up for grabs if anyone<br \/>\nwould like to come and borrow or keep some! <\/p>\n<p>All programs require preregistration.
