Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
On Saturday, November 27th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the American Legion
\nat 104 King Street in Hanover will be hosting a collection drive. This has
\nbeen a difficult year for countless individuals, and many people are asking
\nwhat they can do to help others during this holiday season. <\/p>\n
The Legion will be accepting the following items for distribution to the
\nHanover Food Pantry:<\/p>\n
?\tNon-perishable foods \u2013 proteins are particularly needed at this time,
\nalthough all non-perishable food items are appreciated<\/p>\n
?\t Grocery gift cards – in all denominations are welcome<\/p>\n
?\t Toys – collection made possible by Toys for Tots<\/p>\n
?\t Warm outerwear – gloves, mittens, scarves and socks for both children
\nand adults<\/p>\n
The good folks at the Legion will be following Massachusetts COVID
\nguidelines. This is a drop off event. There will be boxes and tables
\nlocated outside by the side doors of the Legion. Santa and his helpers
\nwill be there to assist you.<\/p>\n
In addition, if you would like to make a year-end financial donation to the
\nLegion, please make your check payable to the American Legion Post 149 and
\nprovide it to one of the helpers. There will also be a donation jar located
\non one of the tables. Please note that these latter funds are used to
\nsupport veteran services exclusively.<\/p>\n
The Legion looks forward to seeing you on Saturday, November 27th between
\n1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Please feel free to contact Ray Miller with any
