{"id":3759,"date":"2021-12-01T14:35:40","date_gmt":"2021-12-01T18:35:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/atotw.com\/archive\/?p=3759"},"modified":"2021-12-01T14:35:40","modified_gmt":"2021-12-01T18:35:40","slug":"four-corners-winter-festival-returns-this-friday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atotw.com\/archive\/?p=3759","title":{"rendered":"Four Corners Winter Festival returns this Friday!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n<p>The Four Corners Winter Festival is returning to Hanover on Friday,<br \/>\nDecember 3rd from 5:30 p.m. &#8211; 8:30 p.m.  A variety of family-friendly<br \/>\nactivities are planned throughout the festival including: photos with<br \/>\nSanta; gingerbread houses and children&#8217;s crafts; a historical walking tour<br \/>\nand performances by local dancers and carolers!  The entire neighborhood<br \/>\nwill be lit with luminaries and there will be a fire pit and craft vendors.<br \/>\n Below is a list of the activities:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tBoy Scouts + Girl Scouts will have luminaries lit throughout the<br \/>\nneighborhood at 5:30 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\t\u201cThe Grinch\u201d Movie screening courtesy of Mr. TV at 6:30 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tSanta arrives via Slingshot at 6:30 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tAbbey Knoll Photography hosting \u201cPictures with Santa\u201d at the Mary<br \/>\nLous&#8217;s parking lot from 6:30 p.m. &#8211; 8:00 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tRenovisions hosting a cider donut bar from 6:00 p.m. &#8211; 8:30 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tStrolling Hanover High School VOX Chorus carolers will host<br \/>\nsing-a-longs after 7:00 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tIvy &amp; Olives open house all evening with wreath raffle<br \/>\n\u2022\t4H petting zoo on Broadway<br \/>\n\u2022\tStephen O\u2019Neill of the Hanover Historical Society leading a<br \/>\nhistorical walking tour at 7:00 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tPhoenix Lodge tours and free clam chowder<br \/>\n\u2022\tFire pits on the grass in the Four Corners parking lot provided by the<br \/>\nScouts, with s&#8217;mores provided by the Scouts.<br \/>\n\u2022\tMary Lou\u2019s 50 cent hot chocolate special<br \/>\n\u2022\tA variety of food trucks at Salmond School<br \/>\n\u2022\tSchool Store open at Salmond School selling Hanover gear<br \/>\n\u2022\tPark and Rec, Council on Aging, Office of Family and Community<br \/>\nEngagement, John Curtis Library + HCTV hosting games and crafts at Salmond<br \/>\nSchool.<br \/>\n\u2022\tLorraine\u2019s Cakes Gingerbread houses decorating contest entries on<br \/>\ndisplay<br \/>\n\u2022\tToys for Tots collecting new toys in the sleigh parked on the square<br \/>\n\u2022\tSt. Andrew\u2019s Church hosting its annual cookie sale<br \/>\n\u2022\tBeer Garden at Abbey Knoll Photography\/Fire station #2<\/p>\n<p>The following performers will be dancing on the MAIN STAGE which will be<br \/>\nlocated just outside to the left of Mary Lou&#8217;s and the schedule will be as<br \/>\nfollows:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tSouth Shore Ballet Theater Nutcracker &#8211; 6:00 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tShoestrings Dance Studio &#8211; 6:30 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tPembroke School of Performing Arts &#8211; 6:45 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tHanover High School VOX Chorus &#8211; 7:00 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tConnolly Academy Irish Dancers &#8211; 7:15 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>There will also be a second performance stage in front of the Salmond<br \/>\nSchool and the schedule is as follows:<br \/>\n\u2022\tConnolly Academy Irish Dancers &#8211; 6:45 p.m.<br \/>\n\u2022\tPembroke School of Performing Arts &#8211; 7:15 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Cellist Cindy Newton will be performing on the steps of Saint Andrews from<br \/>\n6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. accompanied by Elsa Little-Gill on violin. <\/p>\n<p>As has been the case in past years, the square will be closed to traffic<br \/>\nwith parking available at Columbia Plaza (formerly Tedeschi Plaza). Limited<br \/>\nparking will be available at the new Previte&#8217;s Plaza in peripheral spots,<br \/>\nbut not in front of the market.
