The Four Corners Winter Festival is returning to Hanover on Friday,
\nDecember 3rd from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. A variety of family-friendly
\nactivities are planned throughout the festival including: photos with
\nSanta; gingerbread houses and children’s crafts; a historical walking tour
\nand performances by local dancers and carolers! The entire neighborhood
\nwill be lit with luminaries and there will be a fire pit and craft vendors.
\n Below is a list of the activities:<\/p>\n
\u2022\tBoy Scouts + Girl Scouts will have luminaries lit throughout the
\nneighborhood at 5:30 p.m.
\n\u2022\t\u201cThe Grinch\u201d Movie screening courtesy of Mr. TV at 6:30 p.m.
\n\u2022\tSanta arrives via Slingshot at 6:30 p.m.
\n\u2022\tAbbey Knoll Photography hosting \u201cPictures with Santa\u201d at the Mary
\nLous’s parking lot from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
\n\u2022\tRenovisions hosting a cider donut bar from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
\n\u2022\tStrolling Hanover High School VOX Chorus carolers will host
\nsing-a-longs after 7:00 p.m.
\n\u2022\tIvy & Olives open house all evening with wreath raffle
\n\u2022\t4H petting zoo on Broadway
\n\u2022\tStephen O\u2019Neill of the Hanover Historical Society leading a
\nhistorical walking tour at 7:00 p.m.
\n\u2022\tPhoenix Lodge tours and free clam chowder
\n\u2022\tFire pits on the grass in the Four Corners parking lot provided by the
\nScouts, with s’mores provided by the Scouts.
\n\u2022\tMary Lou\u2019s 50 cent hot chocolate special
\n\u2022\tA variety of food trucks at Salmond School
\n\u2022\tSchool Store open at Salmond School selling Hanover gear
\n\u2022\tPark and Rec, Council on Aging, Office of Family and Community
\nEngagement, John Curtis Library + HCTV hosting games and crafts at Salmond
\nSchool.
\n\u2022\tLorraine\u2019s Cakes Gingerbread houses decorating contest entries on
\ndisplay
\n\u2022\tToys for Tots collecting new toys in the sleigh parked on the square
\n\u2022\tSt. Andrew\u2019s Church hosting its annual cookie sale
\n\u2022\tBeer Garden at Abbey Knoll Photography\/Fire station #2<\/p>\n
The following performers will be dancing on the MAIN STAGE which will be
\nlocated just outside to the left of Mary Lou’s and the schedule will be as
\nfollows:<\/p>\n
\u2022\tSouth Shore Ballet Theater Nutcracker – 6:00 p.m.
\n\u2022\tShoestrings Dance Studio – 6:30 p.m.
\n\u2022\tPembroke School of Performing Arts – 6:45 p.m.
\n\u2022\tHanover High School VOX Chorus – 7:00 p.m.
\n\u2022\tConnolly Academy Irish Dancers – 7:15 p.m.<\/p>\n
There will also be a second performance stage in front of the Salmond
\nSchool and the schedule is as follows:
\n\u2022\tConnolly Academy Irish Dancers – 6:45 p.m.
\n\u2022\tPembroke School of Performing Arts – 7:15 p.m.<\/p>\n
Cellist Cindy Newton will be performing on the steps of Saint Andrews from
\n6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. accompanied by Elsa Little-Gill on violin. <\/p>\n
As has been the case in past years, the square will be closed to traffic
\nwith parking available at Columbia Plaza (formerly Tedeschi Plaza). Limited
\nparking will be available at the new Previte’s Plaza in peripheral spots,
\nbut not in front of the market. Hanover Police will be on hand at the light
\nto help all pedestrians cross the street.<\/p>\n
