It’s that time of the year again! The Special and Annual Town Meeting
\nwarrants have been posted and it’s time to read up on all that will happen
\nbeginning Monday, May 2nd at the two meetings. The Special Town Meeting
\nbegins at 7:00 p.m. and the Annual Town Meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. that
\nnight. Both meetings will be held at Hanover High School. If the Annual
\nMeeting runs late, generally speaking, it will often continue on the next
\nnight (Tuesday, May 3rd this year). Please be aware that the motion to
\ncontinue the meeting to another night is made in person at the first night,
\nso this is subject to change.<\/p>\n

The Advisory Committee spends countless hours going over the warrant and
\nthe budget and makes recommendations that it deems are in the best
\ninterests of the town.

Insider tip (complete with bonus points for reading this far into this
\ne-mail haha) – access to Town Meeting will be THROUGH THE FRONT DOORS OF
\nHHS ONLY. We learned last year that we really liked the “art\/engineering
\nhallway” check-in process. It allowed people to check in…and then only
\nfolks who were checked in could be in the cafe and in or near the overflow
\nseating out there. The outside traffic flow was good, there is plenty of
\nparking in the front of the building, the semi-circular flow of people
\ninside of the building was really smooth (and it kept people spread out –
\nnot a bad idea still at this point in the pandemic). There will be extra
\nwheelchairs on hand for anyone with mobility issues, and CERT team members
\nwill be there to assist with directions.<\/p>\n
