Hanover Town Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier announced today that the town
\nhas contracted with a new software provider called OnlineDogLicensing.com
\nfor dog licenses, and as a result, the on-line portal for dog licensing is
\ntemporarily inactive. The existing software company, GoPetie, recently
\nannounced that they are going out of business. All of the existing Hanover
\ndog data will be transferred to the new company, Onlinedoglicensing.com,
\nthis week.<\/p>\n
Residents wishing to license a dog may still do so by mail or in person at
\nthe Town Clerk\u2019s Office. Dog owners are encouraged to begin the process
\nby filling out the dog license application found here:

\n. Completed forms may be dropped in the front door mail slot or mailed in
\nwith your payment, proof of current rabies vaccination, and proof of
\nspaying or neutering (if you have not submitted that information
\npreviously) to the Town Clerk\u2019s Office, 550 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA
\n02339. Your tag will be mailed back to you. If you wish to appear in
\nperson, you are encouraged to call first for an appointment to make sure
\nthat someone will be there who can execute the transaction. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe are excited about our new partnership with OnlineDogLicensing.com,
\nsaid Harder-Bernier. Fortunately, we had previously planned to migrate to
\ntheir services this summer. The early demise of GoPetie accelerated our
\ntimeline, but we are confident this new software program will equal or
\nexceed our former program\u201d, she continued. The new on-line portal will
\nbe up and running in July. An announcement will be made after in-house
\ntraining is complete and when the new portal is accessible to the public.
