Hanover Day, the Hanover Cultural Council, and the Hanover Unity Council
\nall look forward to welcoming the Thai classical dance and music teachers
\nfrom the NMR Buddhist Meditation Center to Hanover this weekend as part of
\nthe Hanover Day celebrations! On Saturday, June 25th at 2:00 p.m. on the
\nmain stage, the dance troupe will be performing classical dance in
\ntraditional Thai costumes. This performance will be followed by a live
\nmusic performance featuring classical Thai instruments. <\/p>\n
Teachers come from Thailand each year to teach children traditional
\nclassical Thai dance locally for the Southeastern Massachusetts community
\non a volunteer basis. They also teach traditional classical music lessons
\nfor orchestral performances. The NMR Buddhist Meditation Center, also
\nknown as Wat Nawamintararachutis, has been an amazing local landmark since
\n2002 in Raynham, Massachusetts. The center invites all people to come
\ntogether for internal and external moments of peace. <\/p>\n
If you are interested in learning more about Thai culture and Buddhist
\nmeditation, the center has a museum that is open to the public, and classes
\nare offered regularly. All are welcome!<\/p>\n
