Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
If you have never been to Hanover Day, or even if you have, the best advice
\nthat I can give you is to walk if you are able, or carpool. Let’s face it,
\nas much as we love having Hanover Day in the center of town, it was not
\ndesigned to host thousands of people and their cars! If you do need to
\nfind a place to park, here is some general information and related tips:<\/p>\n
HANOVER DAY LOCATION
\nB. Everett Hall Field \/ Sylvester Field
\n495 Hanover Street<\/p>\n
WHERE TO PARK
\nPlease note there will be no parking available on Hanover Street or on Main
\nStreet. Be sure to follow the Police posted ‘No parking’ signs as these
\nrestrictions will be strictly enforced. <\/p>\n
Parking for Daytime Events:
\nParking is available in all town lots at Town Hall, John Curtis Library,
\nRiley Hall and Briggs Stables – enter at the Main Street Entrance. Police
\nwill be directing traffic all throughout Hanover Day.<\/p>\n
Parking for Evening Events:
\nHanover Day volunteers are expecting a very large turnout, particularly on
\nSaturday evening for the fireworks. Please plan your arrival accordingly as
\nthere is limited parking in Hanover Center. Below is a list of approved
\nparking areas for the evening events. We are thankful to the local
\nbusinesses who have made their parking lots available for the event. Please
\ndo not park on residents’ private property and please clean up any trash
\nthat you have so that business lots will be left clean and neat. Police
\nwill be on site to direct traffic. <\/p>\n
Parking is NOT allowed in the Hanover Cemetery or at Center School. Please
\nfollow all direction of the Hanover Police. Lighted signs will direct you
\nto parking areas in the center of town.<\/p>\n
Saturday Night Parking is available at:
\nHanover Town Hall and the John Curtis Library – 550 Hanover Street
\nBriggs Stables – Main Street entrance – gates will be open with police
\ndirecting traffic
\nSt. Mary’s Church – 392 Hanover Street (after 6:00 p.m.)
\nRiley Hall – 17 Silver Street
\nSilver Street – Southbound side only<\/p>\n
