I thought you would appreciate some Town of Hanover news!<\/p>\n
First – the Town was awarded a $379,142 grant for the Hanover Branch Rail
\nTrail Extension. If you have ever walked on the Rockland or Abington Rail
\nTrail, you will know that this will be a fabulous addition to our open
\nspace and walking trails here in Hanover. Congratulations to all involved!

Secondly – we have recently fielded some phone calls in my office from
\nresidents looking for the Department of Public Works and\/or the Water
\nDepartment. Earlier this month, the main DPW offices moved to the former
\nSylvester School, 495 Hanover Street. The DPW oversees several divisions –
\nincluding Water, Facilities, Cemetery, Transfer Station, Highway, etc.
\nThey can be reached at 781-826-3189. Their offices will be open from 8:00
\na.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Sylvester School. Thanks for your patience as they get
\nsettled into their new space and strive to maintain the excellent service
\nthey are always known for!<\/p>\n
