Hanover Town Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier announced that Saturday, August
\n27th is the last day to register to vote or change your party for the
\nTuesday, September 6th, 2022 State Primary. The Hanover Town
\nClerk\u2019s\/Registrar\u2019s Office will be open until 5:00 p.m. on August 27th,
\nand on-line registration will be available until 11:59 p.m. that night.
\nPlease come to the Town Clerk\u2019s\/Registrar\u2019s side entrance lower level
\ndoor if you need to register in person. Read on for on-line registration
\ninformation!<\/p>\n
Any Hanover citizen who will be eighteen on or before September 6th, 2022
\nis encouraged to register to vote. Once registered, individuals will be
\neligible to vote in all elections thereafter. Further, residents may
\n\u201cpre-register\u201d to vote if they are age 16 or 17, but they will not be
\neligible to vote until they turn 18.<\/p>\n
Citizens of Hanover may conveniently register to vote or change their party
\nstatus on-line, by mail or in person. The link for on-line registration is

If citizens wish to register to vote in person, they may do so at two
\nconvenient locations: Hanover Town Hall or the Registry of Motor Vehicles. <\/p>\n
\u201cNew residents and high school students are strongly encouraged to
\nregister to vote. It is the cornerstone of our democracy!\u201d said Town
\nClerk Catherine Harder-Bernier. \u201cAdditionally, with some hotly contested
\nprimary races, voters may wish to change their party registration in order
\nto pull a different ballot at this election. Now is the time to do so!\u201d
