The annual town census has been mailed to all Hanover households. Again,
\nthis year \u2013 if you do not have any changes to your town census, you may
\nsubmit your response on-line! All residents should review the information
\non the form, make any changes if necessary, and sign and return the form as
\nsoon as possible. If there are no changes to your town census, go to:
\nhttp:\/\/atotw.com\/maillist\/lt.php?tid=waNSteJUUvOkiJjWdxHVR5H0mVZVjIZflCvMoV+Zl5VoqLt7nDMoRqoN783ZLADJ
\nand fill out the on-line form. Household members who are temporarily
\nliving away from home, such as college students, members of the military
\nservices, etc., should not be removed from the census if they plan to use
\nHanover as their voting address.<\/p>\n
Also included in the census mailing are a Hanover School Information Sheet
\nand a Dog License Application. If applicable to your household, these forms
\nshould also be completed and may be returned in the enclosed addressed
\nenvelope or dropped through the mail slot with your census in the front
\ndoor of the Hanover Town Hall. <\/p>\n

Completion of the annual census is important for a number of reasons.
\n\u2022\tIt assists in accurate municipal planning
\n\u2022\tIt assists the police and fire departments in case of any emergency in
\nyour home it allows Hanover to receive the proper allocation of state and
\nfederal funds and grants.
\n\u2022\tFiling a census can provide proof of residency for a number of legal
\nrequirements such as in-state tuition at state colleges, housing benefits,
\nveterans\u2019 benefits, and insurance benefits.
\n\u2022\tRegistered voters in a household that fail to complete an annual census
\nwill lose their \u201cactive voter status, which is an important
\nconsideration.<\/p>\n
Be sure your family phone number is on the census form. This phone number
\nwill only be used in case of emergencies!<\/p>\n
Also be sure all children are on both on the annual census and the school
\ncensus forms.<\/p>\n
