My Around Town on the Web computer has been in the shop for a bit;
\napologies to those who were looking for an e-blast to be sent over the past
\nweek or two. Huge shout out to Josh of Computer Smith in Hanover who very
\ncapably rescued my hard drive and sanity in the process! :)<\/p>\n
Troop 38 Boy Scouts have been very busy in the interim. This is their
\n“Open House” recruiting time of year and I sadly missed the chance to
\npromote their Outdoor Scout Skills Fest and a Winter Outdoor Scout
\nAdventure over the past 10 days. Thankfully, there is still time for me to
\nsend along the following information about their upcoming events that are
\nopen to anyone looking to see what Boy Scouts are all about!<\/p>\n
February 28th, March 7th and 14th from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Reptile and
\nAmphibian Merit Badge at SS Natural Science Center.<\/p>\n
March 5th from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: 2.5 mile Beginner Hike to Gurnet
\nLighthouse.<\/p>\n
Troop 38 is very capably led by Scoutmaster Gary Martin, who can be reached
\nat garymartin66@icloud.com for more information. As an aside, I had the
\ngood fortune to meet about 20 of the Scouts who were working on their
\n“Citizenship in the Community” Merit Badge last week and was very impressed
\nwith those young men! They’re a great group!<\/p>\n
