You may remember that about a week ago I was lamenting the lost opportunity
\nto promote some cool events in Hanover due to my personal computer being
\nout of commission. Well, Hanover\u2019s Scouts thoughtfully RESCHEDULED one
\nof their best events just so that word could be spread on Around Town on
\nthe Web! Wow! Here are the details (and a reminder about a couple of
\npreviously mentioned events):<\/p>\n
Stop by Hanover\u2019s Outdoor Scout Skills Fest at the Hanover YMCA Saturday,
\nMarch 4th – 12-1:30 p.m. Meet leaders and Scouts and see what the Scouting
\nbuzz is all about!
\nSee outdoor cooking demo, a winter campsite model, ropes and lashing
\nstructures, survival skills, first aid skills, games, a compass course, and
\nmore.
\nBoys AND girls of Hanover, they\u2019d love for you to join them and start
\nYOUR Trail to Eagle!
\nScouts BSA Troop 38: Boys ages 10 to 18
\nScouts BSA Troop 1: Girls ages 10 to 18
\nVenture Crew 38: Co-Ed ages 14 to 21
\nCub Scouts! Boys and girls, K – 5th grade<\/p>\n
Reminders about some upcoming events to consider attending:
\nFebruary 28th, March 7th and 14th – 5:00 p.m. \u2013 6:00 p.m.: Reptile and
\nAmphibian Merit Badge at SS Natural Science Center. All welcome!
\nMarch 5th – 12 noon \u2013 3:00 p.m. (please note the time correction):
\n2.5-mile Beginner Hike to Gurnet Lighthouse – Join Troop 38 on their first
\nhike of the season. Get a unique glimpse of the Gurnet Lighthouse and
\ngrounds which will be opened just for the group of Scouts. Meet at Duxbury
\nBeach parking lot at Powder Point Bridge. <\/p>\n
