The Hanover Democrats will host a community blood drive with the American
\nRed Cross on Friday, March 31, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hanover
\nSenior Center (665 Center Street, Hanover).<\/p>\n
To make an appointment to donate, call 1-800-733-2767 or sign up online at
\nredcrossblood.org and enter: Hanover.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Hanover Democrats are committed to strengthening our community and
\nhelping meet hospital and patient needs through blood donations,\u201d said
\nMichelle Davidson, vice chair of the Hanover Democratic Town Committee.
\n\u201cThis blood drive is our way of giving our neighbors an opportunity to
\nhelp save lives.\u201d<\/p>\n
Blood is a perishable product that can only come from volunteer blood
\ndonors. With someone in the U.S. needing blood every two seconds, blood
\nproducts must be constantly replenished, according to the Red Cross.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe urge community members to donate blood and help ensure that patients
\nin local hospitals have a supply of blood ready and waiting before an
\nemergency occurs,\u201d Davidson said. \u201cThere\u2019s no better feeling than
\nknowing that your blood donation may give someone a second chance at
\nlife.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to the Red Cross, donors with all blood types are needed,
\nespecially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative.<\/p>\n

\nCard by email. Plus, you\u2019ll be automatically entered for a chance to win
