Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
The Hanover Democratic Town Committee is pleased to announce it is now
\naccepting applications for the Arthur D. Slaney Scholarship. <\/p>\n
The Committee will award two $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school
\nseniors who reside in Hanover, Massachusetts.<\/p>\n
To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant must be a graduating high
\nschool senior residing in Hanover. There is no GPA requirement, but it will
\nbe taken into consideration. Additionally, the applicant must be registered
\nor, if under 18, pre-registered to vote.<\/p>\n
In addition to the application, the applicant must submit a high school
\ntranscript, one letter of recommendation, and a maximum 500-word essay
\nreflecting upon the poem “The Hill We Climb” by Amanda Gorman, the 2021
\nInaugural poet laureate and fellow GenZ-er. <\/p>\n
The deadline for submitting the applications is April 11, 2023. For more

The Arthur D. Slaney Scholarship aims to support students who are committed
\nto making a positive impact on their community. The Hanover Democratic Town
