Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
The American Legion continues its yearly \u201cToys for Tots\u201d drive to give
\nneedy children the Christmas they deserve. The \u201cToy Drive\u201d will last
\nuntil 12\/17 to ensure the deliveries are made to the regional office in
\nPlymouth County. From there, they are then distributed to needy families
\nwithin South Shore towns. In addition, the Legion will have their
\n\u201cDrive through and Drop off Day” on Saturday, December 16th for those who
\nwish to drive up to their location and hand volunteers their toy donations
\nas well nonperishable food items to support their food drive for the
\nHanover Food Pantry. The Legion will also be accepting gift cards for
\nneedy Veterans throughout the month of December. <\/p>\n
The American Legion is a non-profit organization that relies on hall
\nrentals and fundraising efforts to support their mission, the Veterans in
\ntown and the American Legion. Their Mission is committed to mentoring
\nyouth, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security,
\nand continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans. The
\nLegion takes pride in assisting Veterans in need locally and overseas,
\ncontributing to the Nathan Hale Foundation, ALS ONE, The Fisher House
\n(which houses families of Veterans at the VA Hospital), Jared Allen\u2019s
\nHomes for Wounded Warriors, Weymouth Police Officer Chesna\u2019s Family Fund,
\nand annual college scholarships, just to name a few supported organizations
\nby the Post. <\/p>\n
