\n“discounts” – more accurately known as exemptions, for certain residents

An exemption is a reduction of property taxes for residents who meet
\ncertain qualifications. The various exemptions offered by Hanover through
\nthe State of Massachusetts are the disabled veteran’s exemption, legally
\nblind exemption, surviving spouse, and minor child of a deceased parent
\nexemption, and the senior exemptions. If the property is in a trust, the
\nowner must be a trustee and have a significant beneficial interest in the
\ntrust. <\/p>\n
