The Hanover Town Hall<br \/>\nwill be open until 5:00 p.m. on February 24th, and on-line registration<br \/>\nwill be available until 11:59 p.m. that night.  Please come to Town Hall if<br \/>\nyou need to register in person; staff will either be in the large hearing<br \/>\nroom on the first floor or the Registrar\u2019s Office on the lower level.<br \/>\nRead on for on-line registration information!<\/p>\n<p>Any Hanover citizen who will be eighteen on or before the March 5, 2024<br \/>\nElection is encouraged to register to vote. Once registered, individuals<br \/>\nwill be eligible to vote in all elections thereafter.  Further, residents<br \/>\nmay \u201cpre-register\u201d to vote if they are age 16 or 17, but they will not<br \/>\nbe eligible to vote until they turn 18.<\/p>\n<p>Citizens of Hanover may conveniently register to vote or change their party<br \/>\nstatus on-line, by mail or in person. If residents choose to register by mail they should download the<br \/>\n\u201cMassachusetts Mail-In Voter Registration Form\u201d found here:<br \/>\nhttp:\/\/atotw.com\/maillist\/lt.php?tid=9UdczQVgknCwmXZ0sUfJ\/iJcoaHlGlmnoTRmJlYuwb5oqLt7nDNIRqoN783ZLADJ<br \/>\nand mail the completed form to the Hanover Town Clerk\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>If voters wish to register to vote in person, they may do so at two<br \/>\nconvenient locations: Hanover Town Hall or the Registry of Motor Vehicles.<br \/>\n\u201cWith automatic registration now the law of the land in Massachusetts,<br \/>\nvery few people actually need to come in to register to vote\u201d, said<br \/>\nHarder-Bernier.  \u201cHowever, what we do occasionally see is that people who<br \/>\nhave moved recently and\/or who have not updated their driver\u2019s license &#8211;<br \/>\nthose people do need to update their voter registration status.  We also<br \/>\nsometimes see 18-year-olds who do not yet have driver\u2019s licenses who need<br \/>\nto register to vote.
