Hanover Town Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier announced that Saturday,
\nFebruary 24th is the last day to register to vote or change your party
\npreference in the March 5th Presidential Primary. The Hanover Town Hall
\nwill be open until 5:00 p.m. on February 24th, and on-line registration
\nwill be available until 11:59 p.m. that night. Please come to Town Hall if
\nyou need to register in person; staff will either be in the large hearing
\nroom on the first floor or the Registrar\u2019s Office on the lower level.

Any Hanover citizen who will be eighteen on or before the March 5, 2024
\nElection is encouraged to register to vote. Once registered, individuals
\nwill be eligible to vote in all elections thereafter. Further, residents
\nmay \u201cpre-register\u201d to vote if they are age 16 or 17, but they will not
\nbe eligible to vote until they turn 18.<\/p>\n
Citizens of Hanover may conveniently register to vote or change their party
\nstatus on-line, by mail or in person. The link for on-line registration is

If voters wish to register to vote in person, they may do so at two
\nconvenient locations: Hanover Town Hall or the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
\n\u201cWith automatic registration now the law of the land in Massachusetts,
\nvery few people actually need to come in to register to vote\u201d, said
\nHarder-Bernier. \u201cHowever, what we do occasionally see is that people who
\nhave moved recently and\/or who have not updated their driver\u2019s license –
\nthose people do need to update their voter registration status. We also
\nsometimes see 18-year-olds who do not yet have driver\u2019s licenses who need
\nto register to vote. We look forward to helping those folks!\u201d, said
