So, I am<br \/>\nbending my &#8220;Hanover events only&#8221; rule and sending this along!<\/p>\n<p>Social Media and Socializing: Helping your kids feel and function their<br \/>\nbest on screen and off<\/p>\n<p>Sunday, March 17th, 7:30 p.m. &#8211; With Director of the Massachusetts<br \/>\nAggression Reduction Center at Bridgewater State University Dr. Elizabeth<br \/>\nEnglander via Zoom (only)  <\/p>\n<p>Before the pandemic, screen use, anxiety, and social problems (like<br \/>\nbullying and fighting) were top concerns for parents. The last few years<br \/>\nhave made some of these issues even more challenging. This talk will<br \/>\nexamine how kids are doing emotionally and socially, in light of the ways<br \/>\nkids use screens, gaming, and social media, and how these impact challenges<br \/>\nin school, like bullying and friendship skills. Research will be<br \/>\nsummarized, and practical approaches to family life that can help children<br \/>\ndevelop emotional resilience, healthy social skills and friendships, and<br \/>\nsensible screen and social media habits will be discussed during this<br \/>\npresentation.
