Stories from the Revolution: Hanover in the War for Independence

This program, in honor of the 250th Anniversary of the American
\nRevolutionary War, tells the story of Hanover and its residents during the
\nconflict. Stories from the Revolution uses original objects and documents
\nfrom the Historical Society\u2019s and other collections to illustrate how the
\nWar changed the lives of the people of Hanover. These are the stories of
\none town supporting the Patriot cause, a colonel who commanded a regiment
\nthrough five years of warfare, a family that faced disease and struggle, a
\nformer slave who won his freedom, common soldiers who answered the call to
\nservice, some of whom never returned, and a general Town Meeting that voted
\nin favor of Independence.<\/p>\n
