With the kids out of school and the Friday night Music Fest and Hanover Day
\nline-ups having been announced, the excitement for Hanover Day is becoming
\npalpable! <\/p>\n
Hanover Day is held at B. Everett Hall Playground, next to Sylvester
\nSchool, in the center of town. Please see the attached map with the layout
\nof the venue! Parking is very limited at that address, 495 Hanover Street,
\nand the classic cars will already be parked there. So, it\u2019s time to plan
\nyour parking strategy. <\/p>\n
First, as a reminder, the senior citizen van shuttle begins at 10:00 a.m.
\nand picks up seniors who are parked at the COA, or residing at Legion,
\nBarstow, or Cushing housing complexes. See the ATOTW archives for more
\ndetails on the van shuttle.<\/p>\n
Please note there will be no parking available on Hanover Street or Main
\nStreet. Parking is also not allowed in the Hanover Cemetery or at Center
\nSchool. Be sure to follow the Police\/DPW posted ‘No Parking’ signs as these
\nrestrictions will be strictly enforced. Lighted signs will direct you to
\nparking areas in the center of town as evening falls.<\/p>\n
Parking for Daytime Events:
\nParking is available in town lots including Town Hall, the Council on Aging
\nand the John Curtis Library, and also Riley Hall and Briggs Stables (enter
\nat the Briggs\u2019 Main Street Entrance).<\/p>\n
Parking for Evening Events:
\nHanover Day volunteers are expecting a very large turnout, particularly
\nSaturday evening for the fireworks. Please plan your arrival accordingly as
\nthere is limited parking in Hanover Center. Below is a list of approved
\nparking areas for the evening events. Volunteers are thankful to the local
\nbusinesses who have made their parking lots available for the event. Please
\ndo not park on residents\u2019 private property and please clean up any trash
\nthat you have so that B. Everett Hall playground and parking lots will be
\nleft clean and neat. Police will be on site to direct traffic.
\nSaturday Night Parking is available at:
\n\u2022\tHanover Town Hall and the John Curtis Library \u2013 550 and 534 Hanover
\nStreet
\n\u2022\tBriggs Stables – Main Street entrance – gates will be open with police
\ndirecting traffic
\n\u2022\tRiley Hall – 17 Silver Street
\n\u2022\tSilver Street – Southbound side only <\/p>\n
